I am back after my exile..its been a year since I started my Blog Experience. I thank all those who made it possible for me...

The time is auspicious...KODIAL TERU.... I have made a episode based on my experiences on TERU and Rathostavu around my native place. I Apologise If I make any un-due comments.. This may not be hilarious, but I feel it would be informative atleast.... I am missing the fun, I am sure many around the world are missing it too... This one is for them.. May GOD BLESS ALL OF US!!! How do you manage to observe so many things at a time and moreso present them this efficiently? BTW, is this teru where you found your 'Laajvanti'? ;)
Your talk got Atharv giggling for a long time, when he heard the song Subbray Mallya :) Simple things like people making announcements ten times in the middle of song is something we all see but never pay attention to.
You also have this knack of expressing the emotions of people wrt any incident/situation like 'Padde's'actions, Sathish's wife blushing so on and so forth. Gives me the feeling of seeing it happening live. Thank you. Keep going.Too bad i'll miss the mangalore teru this time as well. Welcome back, more than glad to have you here again. Regards.

That 'GOVINDA' thing was just out of the blue! I would love to play this during the next KODIAL TERU when the 'Samaja Bhandavas' would be having their food in the temple.
GSBs out of Mangalore and those settled in abroad must surely listen to this. It might just give you a feel of the KODIAL TERU! Also those are missing it far various reasons too need to listen, it might just make you miss KODIAL TERU more and more.

So Car Street Theru is familiar to me. Your words brought back the Theru Night alive to me. Thank you. Im from Udupi but settled in Blore for more than 25 years now. I had hardly been to "Mangalore Teru". But ur presentation was so crisp and apt, I felt as if I was in Manglur Car Street! And certainly in more ways than one, it resembles Udupi Teru !

hi all
i am a GSB born and brought up in Mumbai. 4 personal reasons I never mixed with much of the GSB crowd. My only contact was the yearly visit to Ganes Utsav and that also for a few hours.
I had hardly been to native place a couple of times in my lifespan.
Hence my connection to the community and its culture was limited.
For me Lokaabhiraam was a revelation it was e-learning for me.
I learnt about my own culture
its various aspects.In fact one episode on the songs of the community was very enlightening.
In fact i have recommended this site to my nephews who stay abroad as part of edutainment .
In fact I would like to share with Lokaaghiraam that ur owrk is actually capturing certain aspect of our culture in a time capsule in virtual space for all to refer for times to come.
My nephew who has just become a father , his wife refereed to the songs sung for small children I hope she learns it and sins it to the new born, so all though he is far off he still would hear the same song which his forefathers heard when they were young,

From the time you did your Teru_rathotsavu on Feb 13th, '08, it is still going around. Saw it today. God!
Recreated pictures of Kodial, sitting, looking up into the faces my grand-dad & friends laughing heartily, and me not understanding why. Then in Bombay, with people whose feet were still planted firmly in Kodial, Khambatkone, etc., and still not understanding all their jokes. Till now. The words and accent are like music. But still only getting a vague idea of the humour!

Where I can listen to this audio again...it seems to have vanished.
